Oh, Freedom
O, Freedom
O, freedom. O, freedom. O, freedom over me.
And before I’ll be a slave, I’ll be buried in my grave
and go home to my Lord and be free.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Try to know when you are singing the same part as the other vocalist and when you are singing a different part. Be stronger when your part is different and somewhat softer when you are in unison with the other part.
In The Garden

1. I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses, and the voice I hear falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses.
Refrain:
And he walks with me, and he talks with me, and he tells me I am his own; and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.
2. He speaks, and the sound of his voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing, and the melody that he gave to me within my heart is ringing. (Refrain)
3. I’d stay in the garden with him though the night around me be falling, but he bids me go; thru the voice of woe his voice to me is calling. (Refrain)
Spirit of God, Descend upon My Heart

1 Spirit of God, descend upon my heart; wean it from earth through all its pulses move. Stoop to my weakness, mighty as thou art, and make me love thee as I ought to love.
2 I ask no dream, no prophet ecstasies, no sudden rending of the veil of clay, no angel visitant, no opening skies; but take the dimness of my soul away.
3 Hast thou not bid me love thee, God and King? All, all thine own, soul, heart and strength and mind. I see thy cross; there teach my heart to cling. O let me seek thee, and O let me find.
4 Teach me to feel that thou art always nigh; teach me the struggles of the soul to bear. To check the rising doubt, the rebel sigh, teach me the patience of unanswered prayer.
5 Teach me to love thee as thine angels love, one holy passion filling all my frame;
the kindling of the heaven-descended Dove, my heart an altar, and thy love the flame.

Sweet, Sweet Spirit

There’s a sweet, sweet spirit in this place , and I that it’s the spirit of the Lord. There are sweet expressions on each face and I know that it’s the Spirit of the Lord.
Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet, heavenly dove. Stay right here with us filling us your love.
And, for those blessings, we lift our heart in praise. Without a doubt, we’ll know that we have been revived when we shall leave this place.
