I Love You Lord, Today – NRUMC Praise Team – 1-29-23
I Love You, Lord, Today – NRUMC Praise Team

1 I love You, I love You, I love You, Lord, today; because You cared for me in such a special way.
That’s why I praise You, I lift You up,
and I magnify Your name; that’s why my heart is filled with praise.

2 My heart, my mind, my soul belongs to You. You paid the price for me way back on Calvary.
That’s why I praise You, I lift You up, and I magnify Your name; that’s why my heart is filled with praise.

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart

1 What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart!  I have light in my soul for which long I had sought, since Jesus came into my heart!
Refrain:
Since Jesus came into my heart (x2) floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll, since Jesus came into my heart.
2  I have ceased from my wand’ring and going astray, since Jesus came into my heart! And my sins, which were many are all washed away, since Jesus came into my heart!  (Refrain)
3  I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure, since Jesus came into my heart! And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure, since Jesus came into my heart! (Refrain)
4 There’s a light in the valley of death now for me, since Jesus came into my heart! And the gates of the City beyond I can see, since Jesus came into my heart! (Refrain)

Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness

Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness – NRUMC Praise Team 2023

Refrain:
Spirit, Spirit of gentleness, blow through the wilderness, calling and free, Spirit, Spirit of restlessness, stir me from placidness, wind, wind on the sea.
1 You moved on the waters, you called to the deep, then you coaxed up the mountains from the valleys of sleep;and over the eons you called to each thing: “Awake from your slumbers and rise on your wings.” Refrain
2 You swept through the desert, you stung with the sand, and you goaded your people with a law and a land; and when they were blinded with idols and lies, then you spoke through your prophets to open their eyes. Refrain
3 You sang in a stable, you cried from a hill, then you whispered in silence when the whole world was still; and down in the city you called once again, when you blew through your people on  the rush of the wind. Refrain
4 You call from tomorrow, you break ancient schemes. From the bondage of sorrow all the captives dream dreams; our women see visions, our men clear their eyes. With bold new decisions your people arise.  Refrain

Lord, Be Glorified

1 In our lives, Lord, be glorified, be glorified. In our lives, Lord, be glorified today.
2 In our homes, Lord, be glorified, be glorified. In our homes, Lord, be glorified today.
3 In your church, Lord, be glorified, be glorified. In your church, Lord, be glorified today.
4 In your world, Lord, be glorified, be glorified. In your world, Lord, be glorified today.

Standing on The Promises

Standing in The Promises – Isaac
Standing On the Promises – Alto Part
Standing On the Promises – Tenor Part

1 Standing on the promises of Christ my King, through eternal ages let His praises ring, Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God.

2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God. Refrain
3 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord, overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword, standing on the promises of God. Refrain
4 List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call. Resting in my Savior as my All in all, standing on the promises of God.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus

Verses 1,2,3

1 What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!  O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
2 Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
3  Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge; take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer!  In his arms he’ll take and shield thee; thou wilt find a solace there.

Majesty, Worship His Majesty

Majesty, worship His majesty; unto Jesus be all glory, honor and praise. Majesty, kingdom authority, flow from His throne unto His own; His anthem raise. So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus. Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King. Majesty, worship His Majesty, Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.
