1 Why should I feel discouraged?  Why should the shadows, shadows come? Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home. When  Jesus is my portion my constant friend is He;?his eye is on, his eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy (I’m happy); I sing because  I’m free (I’m free), His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.
2 Let not your heart be troubled.  His tender word I hear,
and resting on His goodness I lose my doubts and fears. though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see, his eye is on, his eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me, REFRAIN
3 Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise when song gives place to sighing, when hope within me dies, I draw the closer to Him.  From care He sets me free, his eye is on, his eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me, REFRAIN (x2)

1 I’ve had many tears and sorrows, I’ve had questions for tomorrow, there’s been times I didn’t know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation, that my trials come to only make me strong.

Through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God. Through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.
2 I’ve been to lots of places, I’ve seen a lot of faces, there’s been times I felt so all alone. But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours, Jesus lets me know that I was His own. REFRAIN
3 I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms. He brought me through. For if I’d never had a problem, I wouldn’t know God could solve them, I’d never know what faith in God could do.  REFRAIN

1 Faith of our fathers, living still in spite of dungeon, fire, and sword; oh, how our hearts beat high with joy whene’er we hear that glorious word!

2 The fathers chained in prison cells were still in heart and conscience free, and bless’d would be their children’s fate if they, like them, should die for thee! [Refrain]

IMPORTANT NOTE: Try to know when you are singing the same part as the other vocalist and when you are singing a different part. Be stronger when your part is different and somewhat softer when you are in unison with the other part.

1. I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses, and the voice I hear falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses.

1 To God be the glory great things He has done So loved He the world that He gave us His Son who yielded His life an atonement for sin and opened the life-gate that all may go in.

2 O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood to every believer the promise of God. The vilest offender who truly believes that moment from Jesus a pardon receives. REFRAIN

3 Great things He has taught us, great things He has done and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son. But purer, and higher, and greater will be our wonder, our worship, when Jesus we see. REFRAIN
